BCP high doses: "Irregular periods" can be "regulated" with today's low dose bcp's as well. Your period will not begin until you stop the active pills, and only in about 7-10 days after taking the last of the "high dose" pills. The "sugar pills" are a planned "rest time," which permits withdrawal bleeding. If you have "not reached the sugar pills yet" your period will not begin while taking the active pills.
