1st trimester bleed: First trimester bleeding can occur for a variety of reasons. At this juncture, pelvic rest, nothing in the vagina, is appropriate. At your first visit find out when you would have your first ultrasound. This will help document location and viability of the pregnancy. If bleeding increases in amount or cramping intensifies contact your physician.
