My left eyeball suddenly became red earlier. it is now slightly swollen and hurts with slight pressure. should i be overly concerned?

Depends what you did: that made it red? Were you rubbing it? Did dust or something get in your left eye? Did you put irritating drops in it? It usually doesn't swell by itself. However, if it did & hurts with slight pressure, and feels hard as a stone, then you'll have to go to the ER or be seen by an eye doctor at the Urgent Care tonight to take your intraocular pressure, check ur angles & makes you're not in crisis.
