Drifting Toe.: Your description sounds like a consequence of a specific variant in "bunion" deformities. The drifting of the great toe, to the right, is being interfered with by the more stable second toe. This bumping together is causing an inflammatory pain. Most likely this is a result of genetics, foot type, shoes, socks and lifestyle. A foot specialist could offer some time tested treatment alternatives.
