Can amox-clav treat a sinus infection?

Augmentin (amoxicillin and clavulanate) for sinus: Amoxicillin-clavulanate (augmentin) is considered a 'drug of choice' for acute sinusitis. However, a longer course of antibiotics is required for sinus infections due to the nature of sinus 'spaces' unable to take up antibiotics as readily.

Yes: If you don't have a prescription plan, you may do as well with Amoxil 875mg three times daily and flonase. You can get them both for less than the Augmentin (amoxicillin and clavulanate) will cost you.
