Difficult to tell..: It is very difficult to tell what this is without more information or looking at it. How long has it been there? How did it start? Usually burning painful rashes may be associated with shingles, although this could also be associated with a bacterial infection. My advise is to go to the nearest urgent care for immediate evaluation and treatment, esp. when an infection is suspected.
