Throat: If you are not sick, may be a sign of silent acid reflux or LPR, less likely allergic or from your lungs. You can try taking an OTC antacid.. If thats not helpful, check it out with your doctor

Consult physician: Although I agree that this may be early GERD, it also sounds very much like reflex coughing from post nasal drip and allergies. You can try a daily dose of generic Claritin (loratadine) for 1-2 weeks and see if the helps. Please stop using ibuprfofen, since this can aggravate GERD.
