Combine benzo: The dose matters. These are similar or same family. There is really no point v in taking xanax (alprazolam) at the same hour as ambien or restoril.

Not really: either Xanax (alprazolam) and Ambien or Restoril can result in increased CNS depression and must be used together with caution.

I would be careful: As all three of those medications are sedating, as in make you sleepy. If you take more than one of them, I would encourage you to space out when you take them by 30-60 minutes to see how you feel and avoid oversedation. If you take both at prior to sleep you may wake up quite groggy.

No: Mixing Xanax (alprazolam) with sedatives like ambien or restoril is not safe due to additive effects of drowsiness and sedation both meds can cause. This is even magnified for people your age. Please do not drive or operate any machinery on these medications. Please consult with your doctor.
