Hi there, i went to er for abd pain family history w/ porphyria. x-ray showed thickening of tissues behind trachea. what does this mean?

Esophagus?: The tissues behind the trachea is typically the esophagus. If you are having any symptoms of heartburn, difficulty with food getting stuck when you swallow, etc, that would support an esophageal abnormality. This does not sound like porphyria.
