Get it checked out: If this is bright red it is probably a benign lesion called a hemangioma but if dark and not improving it may be a skin cancer such as melanoma and it should be evaluated as soon as possible to be on the safe side. There are many other benign (good) possibilities but without more information i think it would be best if you contacted your doctor on monday, .
