Fluids: Drinking plenty of fluids is the best way of encouraging breastmilk production as well as the baby nursing. The baby is at the breast too long if nursing for 2 hours. Of course your breast feels empty. Perhaps the baby is not crying because of hunger. Have the baby weighed, are the diapers wet, pooping 5-6 times a day, if the answer is yes, nurse no more than 20 min each breast and then console.
