Acute gastroenteritis: Is the most likely cause of an acute episode of diarrhea, which improves over several days. If your stool is getting more close to normal, then I would continue to drink lots of liquids. Consider the use of Immodium to slow down the frequency of your stools. If you have bleeding, fever, or worsening of your symptoms, see your doctor. Good luck.
