It is not due: to the MRI per se, but possibly due to the positioning/immobility of your hands during the scan? Were they pressed between your body and the inside of the scanner?

No: I highly doubt if your symptoms were caused by the MRI. I think it coincidently happened during the MRI. MRIs have virtually no physiologic effects on people. It's just an image producing device based on radio waves. IF they injected contrast you may get a flushed all over feeling... But nothing specific to hands only. I'd look elsewhere for answers.
