Take 2: today. it is same as missing a pill. you double up the next day, but doing it frequently will lower the effectiveness of the pills

Not ideal: Starting birth control pills late is not ideal, because it gives the body an opportunity to start maturing an egg, but since it is only a day, it probably won't increase the likelihood of getting pregnant. If you want to play it safe, use condoms during this cycle.
