A sociopath, simply: put, lacks empathy for others and what we often call a "conscience." This is a serious diagnosis and needs to be done by a mental health professional. It's easy to call others names like this. A mental health professional can provide education and possible support for loved ones also. Peace and good health.

Antisocial: The modern clinical term for sociopathy is antisocial personality disorder. The hallmark of this disorder is the person seems to have no conscience, or sense of morality, or right or wrong. This person cannot empathize with others, is opportunistic, predatory, and often thrill seeking. An example of this would be Charles Manson. Any licensed mental health professional can make this diagnosis.
