How does someone become a sociopath?

Sociopathy: There is no simple answer. Most likely a combination of genetic, environmental and psychosocial factors contribute to this disorder.

Nature vs nurture: This is an old philosophical question of nature vs nurture. In other words, is one born a sociopath (AKA antisocial personality disorder) or is one made a sociopath by environmental factors completely removed from genetic predisposition? Some say its a combination of the two. I would also submit that sociopaths can come from perfectly normal childhoods, free of trauma, and the reverse.
