Probably not: It appears that a phase 1 trial of these medications was attempted in 2007, but results were never published. This probably means that the trial was abandoned. Years ago, another immunosuppressive med was used (cyclosporin) to treat early Type 1 diabetes and was successful in preserving pancreatic function.
