Chemotherapy: Generally chemotherapy. If the cancer has spread to the liver, it probably has also spread to other organs in amounts too small to be seen by even the highest quality scans. Since chemo enters the blood stream, that's why this is the best treatment. After chemo, if there is only 1 or 2 liver spots, sometimes these can ablated (radiation or heat probes).
