Possible infection: This could be due to a multitude of causes. Viral or bacterial infections could cause this. In some areas we are seeing a spike in whooping cough. Are your immunizations up to date? Certain medications can cause a dry cough. Probably a good idea to see your doctor if it persists, includes any breathing trouble or fevers.

I have a sore throat for 4-5 weeks now.. Started of with a cause a post nasal drip, when I used to cough i will go in a mode of Laryngospasm... Which was frightening.. Now if I massage my throat it feels OK.. But if I leave it gets dry. Hoarse voice.
