Hard or soft ?: Fixed or movable? Painful or painless? Condition of adjacent teeth? Without the answers to these questions, it's really not possible to diagnose your condition. Your best bet is to see your local dentist for an appointment.

See a doctor: Such a nodule may be caused by a gum or tooth abscess or by irritation. As a rule of thumb, a mouth growth that does not go away in a week or two should be checked by a doctor or dentist.
