Menopause?: At age 47 it is not uncommon for periods to cease entirely(menopause). Check with your GYN MD to find out if that is the case.

Pre menopausal: Firstly check if you are pregnant( It is still possible if sexually active). Or else it could be early pre-menopausal time.
