Depo or mirena (levonorgestrel): The Depo-Provera shot is every 3 months and generally people have minimal bleeding. Another one is the Mirena (levonorgestrel) IUD it is good for 5 years and people tend to have little to no periods as well. See your doctor for your best option.

Menses: You can take birth control pills for 3 consecutive months at a time (skip the week of sugar pills). That way you will only have your period 4 times a year. You can take the Depo Provera (medroxyprogesterone) shots or Implanon, but they may not be available to continue overseas. Some women have irregular periods or no bleeding with hormone injections, so it is difficult to predict.
