A member asked:

I take metoprolol tartate 25 mg twice a day and citalopram hbr 20 mg 1 a day. taking for just over 2 years and gained over 40 lbs. hate it, help!

Don't blame meds: Citalopram tends to cause anorexia (loss of appetite). Metoprolol has no effect. I encourage you to take responsibility for your weight gain. It's easy to blame your m eds but that doesn't address the problem. Weight gain occurs from taking in more calories than you burn. The solution is take in fewer and burn more. It's hard, I know, but, it's the truth. For help, check out www.caloriecount.com
