126: Diabetes is diagnosed with a FASTING blood sugar over 126 or a RANDOM blood sugar over 200. You need to have these abnormal readings at least twice (2 different days) for it to be diabetes. Pre-diabetes is a fasting sugar from 110 - 125 - this indicates that you are at risk for developing diabetes and you should begin diet and exercise to prevent it.
