Not inevitable: Lyrica (pregabalin) is definitely difficult when it comes to weight gain. If you are careful, monitor your calorie intake and do what exercise you can, your weight can remain stable. Go to www.myfitnesspal.com for a good place to get support and track your intake (calories in) and output (calories burned). Good luck.
