Don't rush it: Fractures take a minimum of 6 weeks for a good callus to form, but continue to remodel for months. Follow your doctor's recommendations. A badly healed fibula can result in ankle displacement, which will likely become arthritic, causing major problems down the line. Rehabilitation may take months, as you will experience significant muscle atrophy due to disuse until you are healed.

You can't do : Anything unfortunately and by going back sooner you risk further injury...... You must listen to the doctor.

Not likely: It is going to take at least 6-8 weeks to heal, check with your doctor and see if he would allow you to play in a boot.
