A member asked:

Why is the high bp at rest more important than bp when active? a person that train has high bp so isn't that worse for developing aneurysm?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Good question: we believe that persistent hbp produces the aneurysmal changes and most folks have more less active than more active time. We believe acute aneurysmal rupture is more related to acute increased wall stress. Having said this I am unaware of 'proof' of this belief by controlled study
