Marijuana: maryjane sometimes burns very hot and is likely the cause of your problem. You should recover if you stop its use. If not you need a ENT doctor

A virus: This could be a major problem. You could have had a severe infection recently where the body was able to destroy the bacteria or virus, but in so doing has also mistakenly destroyed one of your cranial nerves. Not sure how long this has been present. See your doctor immediately for an evaluation. Also, begin using zinc 50 mg at bedtime daily. This may help restore your taste. Best of luck.
