In the morning, both ip thumb joints are locked up but release after popping. It is not painful but its new. As a 25 yr old artist, is this a concern?
I actually know I have osteoarthritis in my thumb. My question is; can or should I be wearing any kind of brace to help both the painful joint and the occasional popping of the joint that occurs?

3wks ago, i injured my thumb (sat on by someone while bent). Still painful at the joint. Could it be broken? If so, would treatment just be a splint?
My wrist and bottom of thumb has been hurting and popping a lot for a few days , but I haven't injured it to my knowledge.
