Most likely normal.: Usually, the menses are irregular at the extremes of reproduction ie the years following menarche and prior to menopause. It sometimes may take 5 or more years from beginning your menses for it to normalize. This usually is not a problem unless you are having excessive bleeding which may cause anemia. Oral contractive pills may normalize your bleeding pattern and prevents excessive bleeding.
