I had a jejunal resection after having an adhesive bowel obstruction. and i have been taking low fiber diet. how long do i have to control my diet?

Bowel resection: Depends how much of your jejunum was resected. usually diet control should be for the first 2-3 months unless a large part of the bowel was resected

Suggest 6-8 wks: Allow the anastamotic swelling to subside then resume regular diet. No diet can avoid another SBO
