Likely not: Perimenopause, on average begins about 4 years before the final menses. Women may have symptoms such as irregular menses, hot flashes, sleep disturbances, mood swings, vaginal dryness, etc. Your prolactin level is elevated and may be contributing to your lack of menses. You doctor should do an evaluation to find out the cause of the elevation. A pituitary microadenoma, drugs, etc may cause this.
