I've started taking bactrim (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim) yesterday and developed more acne overnight. is this common? i'm also using differin, cereve p.m. and burts bees acne .

Acne: Stop Burt's Bees. Continue Differen and finish all antibiotics unless you are allergic t Bactrim (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim).

How bad is the acne?: Differin is very effective for acne. Burts bees acne is salicylic acid, also good for acne. You can get CeraVe with salicylic acid (SA) and not need Burts bees. Bactrim (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim) can help acne but only after 2 or 3 months, usually at a small dose. You will never get worse using it. Acne waxes and wanes with menstrual cycles.
