More fat: Hindmilk has a higher fat content than foremilk. As the baby breastfeeds longer, there are more fat globules released in the duct, so there is a transition from the moment baby starts breastfeeding on that breast, and the longer the baby feeds the higher the fat content of the milk on that side. That is why it is recommended the baby empty one breast at a time.
