Most Hair: loss in woman is due to some kind of stressor that causes more hair follicles than normal to go inactive. Some of our hair follicles are inactive at anytime. This stress was usually 4-6 months before the hair loss and they see it everywhere not in just one spot or patches. If it's not like that see dermatology. Otherwise use biotin and it will come back in 4-6 months.

See a dermatologist: Must begin with accurate diagnosis. Be prepared to discuss ALL birth control, all meds, all vitamins or supplements. Be prepared to discuss menstrual history, pregnancies, weight loss. Prepare a summary of any significant injuries, illnesses, or fevers in past 6 months. Bring copies of any blood tests in past year. Biotin is worthless, don't waste your money. Hard or soft water is not relevant.
