Stay out of Africa: The best way to avoid Ebola is to stay away from areas with an active outbreak in West Africa. If you live outside of those areas, your chances of catching it are very low unless you come in close contact with people who have recently been to West Africa and who are ill. If Ebola did breakout where you live, avoid contact with sick people, wash your hands, and don't touch your face.

Avoid contacts: Ebola is spread by direct contact with victims and the remains of victims. Most are in West Africa and those countries should be avoided until the epidemic is controlled. There are a few cases in the rest of the world and the same rules apply.
