Thyriod noduls size 8 mm is that bad?

Not likely: Hi. Nodules that size are below the size criteria for recommending needle biopsy (FNA). They are very unlikely to grow or cause any problem. A repeat ultrasound could be done down the road to make sure it's not growing.

Small thyroid nodule: These are very common. 50% of 50 year olds have them. If they are not concerning on ultrasound, they don't need to be biopsied and can be observed.
