2 thoughts: Have you checked ferritin? Low ferritin can be associated with RLS even if not anemic. Second I had 1 pt with unilat RLS that had thalamic stroke. Responded to Keppra (levetiracetam). In retrospect it was probably dystonic movement not RLS. Just my 2 cents worth.

Iron deficiency: Can cause RLS. Unclear why one sided. Check an iron panel and replete aggressively. If persists would involve neurologist.

Magnesium: I have had RLS since I was 3 years old. With aggressive magnesium supplementation (mag citrate powder 1 tsp po bid), it has resolved in the past several years.
