A member asked:

Sometimes when i walk my left knee pops. years ago it would lock up while walking, but now it just pops instead. what possible injuries are there?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Meniscus: This sounds like a meniscal injury. The meniscus is a piece of cartilage between the femur and the tibia that acts like a shock absorber. It can get worn and tear causing the knee to lock and pop as the cartilage catches.
