Did you just get Rx?: Or is this something you have already lying around at home? Does the physician who saw you know you are 8 weeks pregnant? If your OB recommends this medication then you can be confident it is safe. You need to discuss with your obstetrician the safety of using the amoxicillin/clavanulate combination. Amoxicillin is safe. Clavanulate on the other hand is not known to be safe or unsafe (category B).
