Could be not fungal: balanitis could be caused by skin irritation like eczema and best treated by steroid cream or it could be bacterial and best treated with antibiotic or it could be fungal best treated with anti fungal medication oral or topical or both if resistant either they treated the problem with the wrong medicine or you might keep getting back from your partner women could have it without symptom treat both
