Normal period..: The normal length of a menstrual period is from anywhere from 3 to 7 days. Longer and shorter periods deserve formal evaluation. Reasons could include: pregnancy if recent, infections, hormonal imbalances, stress, drastic dietary changes, among others. I would start with a pregnancy test and if negative see your GYN provider for evaluation or wait for your next cycle and go if it happens again.
