Higher incidence: of cancer for undescented testis than normal population at the age of 20 s and 30 s . It s non functional atrophic tissue most of the time located in the groin ( inguinal canal ) , so advisable to get it removed at your age , to prevent malignant transformation in future

Commonly 20s - 30s: Approx.4% risk in persistent or previously corrected intra-abdominal testis becoming malignant. Risk progressively less when testis is or was outside abdomen in groin & even less if lower. "Cure" rate, with treatment, nowadays, is about 98% if diagnosed early. Certainly needs 2B removed. Might require chemotherapy &/or radiation in addition to surgery depending on type & extent of cancer.
