Monitor/surgery: It is important that this fibroid is monitored closely. At times this fibroid may affect fertility and pregnancy. The wet discharge may be checked by sampling of the uterine lining. Submucous fibroid could be resected by hysteroscopy, a minimally invasive surgery. Of course, it is much much easier to resect a 2cm fibroid than a 5 cm one. Much expertise is required to manage this.
