A member asked:

Can renal cyst cause hight chromogranin and high vip levels? also hypok and dehydration.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No and maybe: Hi. Neither renal cysts nor tumors cause high chromogranin A nor high VIP. If the cyst is not a cyst, but a tumor, it could cause hypokalemia. Dehydration would be more likely due to the high VIP (which IS related to high chromogranin A), and the secretory diarrhea it causes. Renal cyst is probably a red herring.
