What are the surgical options for elbow tendonosis when other methods haven't worked, and are they successful?

Release: If the problem is at the lateral epicondyle than surgery usually involves release of the extensor muscle origin, an ostectomy of the cortical bone at the site of origin, removal of inflammatory degenerative scar and repair or reattachment. Be sure that collateral ligament injury is ruled out as well as injury to the radial humural joint to avoid inappropriate surgery.
