Normal.: Periods in teens are frequently irregular. They take a few years to become established and regular. What you describe is completely normal. If you have never had sex there is no possibility of pregnancy.

May not be abnormal: When young teenagers or very physically active teens have menstrual periods, their menses may be light and irregular. If you are missing cycles, see a Provider and get checked out . If you want to be more regular, there are ways to adjust this, depending upon the problem.

Irregular periods: Are the norm early on. You did not say how old you are but if you started your periods in the past year you can expect they will be irregular for a while. Other things that can affect the regulation of your periods are exercise, diet, sleep, stress, weight. Do not worry.
