Hemorrhoids: Topical steroid cream may help to shrink the hemorrhoids. Dibucaine is a topical anesthetic that is specifically used for hemorrhoidal pain and itching. Sitting in a tub filled with 3-5 inches of warm water (known as a sitz bath) may provide some local relief as well.
