DO NOT CUT SHUNT: Pain in shunt may indicate infection or blockage. Contact your neurologist RIGHT AWAY. Cutting it will cause huge harm.

Bad idea: Cutting around or into your shunt could cause significant problems like infection spinal fluid leak or bleeding. It is better to seek a second professional opinion than operate on yourself.
