A member asked:

How would u solve a vp shunt problem when nothing shows up on xray and ct its been hurting for 3 months doc has no explanation?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

See neurosurgeon: See the neurosurgeon that performed the VP shunt procedure to discuss your symptoms. If he/she is certain that they're not due to the shunt/settings, then you may be referred to a neurologist. Keep a log of the timing, location, severity, and duration of your symptoms. http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/headache.html , http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/hydrocephalus.html
